We show that for a large range of parameters in a SU(2)L × U(1) electroweak theory with two Higgs doublets there may exist classically stable flux tubes of Z boson magnetic field. In a limit of an extra global Ũ(1) symmetry, these flux-tubes become topologically stable. These results are automatically valid even if Ũ(1) is gauged. متن کاملConvective intensification of magnetic flux tubes in stellar photospheres
The convective collapse of thin magnetic flux tubes in the photospheres of sun-like stars is investigated using realistic models of the superadiabatic upper convection zone layers of these stars. The strengths of convectively stable flux tubes are computed as a function of surface gravity and effective temperature. We find that while stars with Teff ≥ 5500 K and log g≥ 4.0 show flux tubes highl...
متن کاملRepresentations as Elements in Affine Composition Algebras
Let A be the path algebra of a Euclidean quiver over a finite field k. The aim of this paper is to classify the modules M with the property [M ] ∈ C(A), where C(A) is Ringel’s composition algebra. Namely, the main result says that if |k| 6= 2, 3, then [M ] ∈ C(A) if and only if the regular direct summand of M is a direct sum of modules from non-homogeneous tubes with quasi-dimension vectors non...
